Dear Liam,
Halloween was this week, and you were Captain America. The night before Halloween, you were sooooo excited that you couldn't even fall asleep. You just kept saying, "I just can't wait for Halloween to come, Mommy!" You had a fabulous time trick or treating in our neighborhood, and you were such a polite little boy. It was so much fun.
As usual, you can be pretty crazy sometimes, but you can also be so super sweet. One time, last week, we were coloring in coloring books. There was a page that said you should draw a picture of your best friend. You started drawing, and I asked who you were drawing... and you said, "Well, YOU, Mommy!" I almost cried. You're such a sweet boy.
Recently, on an episode of a TV show I like, one of the characters had a freak-out at work... and it all boiled down to the fact that she was stressed out and depressed over the fact that she'd taken her son to kindergarten, walked into the classroom... and he'd let go of her hand. I keep thinking about that. While watching it, I burst into tears. You always want to hold my hand. We get out of the car, and you immediately reach for my hand. Even just walking from the car into your daycare, you reach for my hand, and you don't let go when I open the gate or the door. I can't imagine a day when you won't reach for my hand. I know that day is coming soon... and I kind of dread it. I love you so much, sweet boy.
Love, Mommy
