Dear Liam,
I'm so sorry that it's taken me so long to update this blog! I've been so busy, and while I've often though, hmmm... I should take a couple minutes and update Liam's blog... I just never find the time. I'm so sorry.
You're playing soccer at the Y this fall. You are LOVING it! Your team is the Jaguars. There are 6-8 kids on your team. I say 6-8 because not everyone shows up each week... and not every kid participates each week. You always participate, and for the most part, you are such a fabulous listener! I really think your two coaches appreciate how well you follow directions. You look adorable in your gigantic jersey, and your "soccer socks" with the shin guards in them. You basically just run non-stop for 45 minutes. Daddy and I love to watch you play. If you really enjoy it, I'll make sure to sign you up again next year.
You're starting to go to sleep on your own, without me sitting in your room until you fall asleep. You did really well the first 5-6 nights, but the last couple nights you've gotten out of bed a time or two before finally falling asleep. You have me leave your door wide open, with the hall light on. That's okay. I understand- the dark can be scary!
We've been trying to get you to get dressed on your own in the mornings. I made you a cool sticker chart, and it worked for the first few days, but then stopped working. I swear this morning you were possessed by the devil. You were kicking at me and just laughing hysterically. It's not funny to try to hurt me, and I was very sad that you were acting the way you did. You do this most mornings. We told you this morning that you won't get to watch a show in the mornings, from now on, until you get dressed. We'll see if that helps...
10 more weeks (or so) until your baby sister arrives! And very soon after that it'll be Christmas, and then your 4th birthday! December and early January are going to be busy busy busy! Work is going to get really busy for me in the next week or so, and it will then continue to be busy up until baby girl comes, so I have a feeling the next few months are just going to fly by!
Love you,
Mommy
