Liam,
Over the last week or two, you've become less and less interested in nursing. I don't know if it's because you're truly no longer interested, or if it's hurting you because you're teething (you have molars coming in), or if you're just pissed off that you're not getting as much milk any more. One night last week, after you refused to nurse at bedtime, I pumped, and I only got an ounce. :( So, I'm trying to come to terms with this. I'm not ready for you to be done nursing! Yet, at the same time, I kind of am. I just don't know. I've gone as long as 48 hours between nursings (on one side) a couple times in the last week, and I've been fine- no engorgement or leaking or pain. I hope that whenever we are done, for real, that it will be this easy and pain-free. We'll see.
You're chatting up a storm lately, and you just amaze me. I don't know what you're saying, but you're obviously trying to say something! You like to say a word that sounds a lot like duck, but I don't know if that's really what you're saying. You also try to say shoe. You definitely understand lots of words; now you just need to start actually saying them!
As of your appointment last Friday, your ears are finally clear! But, you're still on amoxicillin for 3 more weeks, until your 15 month appointment. So, you'll have been on antibiotics for 3 full months. So crazy. You were 20 lbs 11 ounces at your appointment, so you'd gained 9 ounces in 3 weeks! That's really good!
I love you, Liam. Seriously, I love you more than you could possibly ever imagine. I hope I can be the best mommy in the world to you.
Mommy
