Dear Liam,
Today was the start of your third week of first grade. You are LOVING it! Loving it so much that already last week, you cried one night before bed about how you don't want school to end. It was only the eighth day of school! So, I assured you that you'd still have almost 200 more days, so that really wasn't something to worry about yet! Your teacher, Mrs. B., seems great. I think she keeps you guys active, which really helps, even if it's just taking little "brain breaks."
You are making new friends, and still get to see your old ones during recess. You are having lots of fun at extended day, and keep asking to stay "extra late" so you can play with your friends. I'd rather have you playing and having fun at school, than sitting around at home, watching videos on your iPad.
So far, you haven't had much homework, but I think you'll start having some next week, and you'll also start spelling tests then, and also a reading log. Your reading amazes me every day. I just love to hear you read, and I hope you always enjoy reading.
