You're 2!!!!

Liam,
I can hardly believe you're 2 years old! How is this possible?! These two years have been the greatest. I can't imagine my life without you in it, sweet boy.

We had a big birthday party for you. I think I counted 21 people in our tiny little house! Only 3 other kids were there... but that's okay! You guys had fun playing at your new train table. You got a ridiculous number of presents. I think I may put some of them away for awhile, and reintroduce them a few months from now. The party had an Elmo theme. Elmo cake, plates, cups, napkins, banner, balloons. You loved it.

You're having a word explosion right now! A few weeks ago, you wouldn't count past 3. At daycare yesterday, they told me you counted to 15 all by yourself! Where did that come from?! You're also starting to sing your ABCs by yourself. You amaze me, Liam!

I recently bought you a book called "On the Night You Were Born" by Nancy Tillman. It's an amazing book. I cried while reading it to you on your birthday, before bed. Some of the words are just so powerful. Like it says, "you are the one and only ever YOU." No one else will ever be like you, Liam. As the Storypeople print in your room says, "The first time his laughter unfurled its wings on the wind, we knew the world would never be the same." I love you, and my world will never be the same.

Love,
Mommy
